Here are seven dentists making headlines this past week.

 Shannon Halcomb, DDS, will be the first female dentist at Coastal Dentistry in Morehead City, N.C.

Paul Glassman, DDS, wrote a piece in the San Francisco Chronicle, detailing how the tele-dentistry model may be a good tool to bringing low-cost care to less-fortunate youth.

Charles Clements, DDS, a dental surgeon in Kingsville, Texas, delivered two statewide dental presentation on "Cone Beam Computed Tomography in General Dental Practice," as well as "Dental Lasers: The Future Is Already Here," according to the Nueces County Record Star.

Mary Charles Brown Haigler, DMD, FAGD, of Greenwood, S.C., received the Academy of General Dentistry's Fellowship Award.

Jordan Lamberton, DDS, a third-generation dentist, will open his own office in Napa, Calif., according to the Napa Valley Register.

Arthur W. Thurm, DMD, recently opened a sleep dentistry Practice in Linwood, N.J. Dr. Thurm was featured in an article on patients' dental anxieties in PressOfAtlanticCity.com.

James A. Wells, DDS, outlined how Invasalign works and how he uses a computer program to create a treatment plan for each patient.
