UCLA Dentistry names Dr. Paul Krebsbach dean — 5 takeaways

UCLA School of Dentistry appointed Paul Krebsbach, DDS, PhD, dean.

1. Serving as UCLA Dentistry's eighth dean, Dr. Krebsbach will succeed No-Hee Park, DMD, PhD.

2. Dr. Krebsbach has been an Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan faculty member since 1996 and is a Roy H. Roberts Professor of Dentistry. He also is a biomedical engineering professor.

3. Since 2005, he has served as the chair of the biologic and materials sciences department and prosthodontics vision.

4. Dr.  Krebsbach has authored more than 180 articles and chapters. He also holds two patents. Currently, he is on Bone Research, the Journal of Healthcare Leadership and International Journal of Oral Science's editorial boards.

5. Dr. Krebsbach is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
