Jim Shelby, DDS, saved a motorcyclist's life after a car hit the man and left, KREM 2 reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. Dr. Shelby used skills he learned as a Boy Scout to create a tourniquet to stop the man from bleeding out from his injuries.
2. Dr. Shelby was driving home after work, and stopped at the side of the road to fix his car when another vehicle hit the man.
3. Dr. Shelby said to KREM, "God just put me right in [the man's] path at the right time."
