Vaping could affect dental health, dentist warns

Vaping chemicals could cause dental health problems, NBC affiliate WJFW reports.

Vaping can cause cavities and, if teeth aren't properly cared for, dental health can decline.

Kricket Koehn, DDS, a dentist at Rhinelander, Wis.-based Northwoods Family Dental, is especially concerned about the effect vaping will have on younger people.

"The viscus aerosols that are a lot of times in the cigarettes can lead to a lot of different health concerns because they change how cells interact with each other can lead to worse consequences," Dr. Koehn told WJFW.
