One Nebraska dentist detailed the reopening process under new guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as reported by ABC affiliate KLKN.
"I think this is the future of dentistry," said Justin Dworak, DDS, owner of Lincoln, Neb.-based Maranatha Dental Group.
"This is what we're gonna look like," Dr. Dworak said, referring to face masks, eye shields, headgear and shoe coverings.
There are protective barriers up at the front desk, along with sterilization wipes. Staff members wear masks and take patient temperatures, according to office manager Kerry Dworak.
Dr. Dworak said the treatment area is covered by bags, while solid surfaces are wiped down as much as possible.
As the office reopened for all patients, Dr. Dworak said the phone has been ringing constantly. He added that staff members say they're just happy to get back to work and help patients.
