EON Clinics' Dr. Rajam Sharma on dental implants & technology's role in the dentistry field

With a dental career spanning 20 years, Rajan Sharma, DDS, spoke with Becker's Dental Review on his decision to open EON Clinics in Chicago and major changes unfolding in the dental industry. He currently is theĀ  of EON Clinics, which he founded nine years ago. The practice has since expanded to six locations spanning Chicago, Indiana and Wisconsin.

"I launched EON Clinics in greater Chicago and outside Milwaukee to ensure that patients would not have to come back so frequently due to numerous dental issues," Dr. Sharma says.

EON Clinics offers patients dental implants, which Dr. Sharma notes provides a "forever smile." Dental implants can enhance the quality of lives for many patients by alleviating dental discomfort experienced when eating or performing other daily activities.

Moving forward, Dr. Sharma sees an important place for technology in the dental industry, leading EON Clinics to stay updated on the solutions that will meet the needs of their patients. Both traditional solutions, such as X-rays and milling machines, as well as more cutting edge solutions can be used in tandem based on a patient's needs.

"EON Clinics is staying ahead of the curve by ensuring that we have the best technology and are listening to the needs of our patients," Dr. Sharma says.
