Premier Dental CEO receives Give Kids A Smile volunteer award: 5 key points

The American Dental Association Foundation's Give Kids A Smile awarded Premier Dental CEO Julie Charlestein with the 2017 Steven W. Kess Give Kids A Smile Corporate Volunteer Award.

Here are five key points:

1. The GKAS Corporate Volunteer Award recognizes an individual, company or organization that has devoted volunteer and/or financial support by leveraging resources from his or her company or organization.

2. Award recipients must be active within the program for five years and have a proven history of supporting innovative and effective GKAS programs.

3. Premier Dental has provided more than $2.5 million in financial contributions and product donations to GKAS. The supplies are then used by volunteers to deliver free dental care to underserved kids around the U.S.

4. The ADA launched GKAS in 2003 and has since provided 5.5 million children free oral health services. Annually GKAS supports 10,000 dentists, 30,000 dental team members and 350,000 children.

5. Premier Dental is a privately held company with sales in over 75 companies. The company plans to continue to lead the industry, invest in innovations and develop products to exceed the expectations of dental professionals and their patients around the world.
