Cryptocurrency sneaks into dentistry – Arizona dentist now accepting bitcoin

Cash, credit and cryptocurrency are now being accepted by George Car, DDS, at Live to Smile in Tempe, Ariz., according to ABC 15.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. To stay ahead of the curve, Dr. Carr introduced bitcoin as a form of payment at his office. All transactions and anonymous due to accounts being codes instead of labeled as names.

2. Dr. Carr works with exchange agencies to convert treatment prices cryptocurrency payments to U.S. dollars. He also has the option of keeping the bitcoin payment in his cryptocurrency account.

3. Dr. Carr earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle.

4. He is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Southern and Center Arizona Dental Societies.
