Biolase appointed its CFO John Beaver to interim CEO. The company also asked Jonathan Lord, MD, board chairman, to lead the company’s expansion into Southern California.

1. Mr. Beaver succeeds Harold Flynn, who resigned from his position as CEO, president and director to pursue other interests.
2. The former CFO assumed his position as interim CEO immediately. He is experienced in finance and business management in both public and private companies.
3. Dr. Lord will work on forming mergers and other businesses combinations in Southern California. The company’s board of directors is continuing to push efforts to boost sales, marketing and customer support.
