Arkansas dentist filed fraudulent Medicaid claims, lawsuit alleges

North Little Rock, Ark.-based dentist Brian Moore, DDS, was arrested on charges of fraudulently billing the state's Medicaid program, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

Dr. Moore is accused of billing $9,000 in services that were not performed. The fraudulent billing stint allegedly spanned from Jan. 24, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2017.

Investigators allege Dr. Moore submitted false claims for patients between the ages of 2 and 21, claiming the dentist made it appear the patients needed amalgam and resin composite fillings.

Police arrested Dr. Moore at his office.
