Phony Michigan dentist ran practice out of basement, police allege

Clinton Township, Mich., police arrested a man for allegedly operating a dental practice in his basement without a license, according to WXYZ, an ABC affiliate.

According to a search warrant, police claim the suspect had a dentist chair, X-ray machine, utensils, molds for teeth and other equipment in his basement. Records of supplies and equipment receipts were found outside the house, the police allege.

The suspect reportedly claimed he saw one to two patients a day at his home.
