Indiana University School of Dentistry selects first female dean

Indianapolis-based Indiana University School of Dentistry has named Carol Anne Murdoch-Kinch its dean, according to Inside Indiana Business.

Ms. Murdoch-Kinch is expected to begin her new role in July, subject to approval from the IU Board of Trustees. She will succeed John Williams Jr., who is stepping down June 30.

In the school's 140-year history, Ms. Murdoch-Kinch will be the first female dean. Previously, she served as the associate dean for academic affairs at Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
