Invisalign developer Align Technology has signed a distribution agreement with Benco Dental for its intraoral scanners.
Five notes:
1. Per the agreement, Benco will offer its network of dentists Align Technology's iTero Element scanner, which also features visualization software.
2. By using the scanner, dentists can show patients changes in dentition.
3. More than 10 million scans have been performed using the iTero Element portfolio, which also includes iTero Element 2 and iTero Element Flex.
4. The iTero Element Flex is a wand-only device that aims at transforming dentists' laptops into portable scanners.
5. Benco Dental will begin distributing the scanners April 1.
