1. The North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners revoked the license of Shawana Patterson, DDS, after two patients died due to "excessive" anesthesia.

2. Andrew Maron, DDS, had his license suspended in 2015 for allegedly performing medically unnecessary procedures and committing healthcare fraud but continued to practice dentistry.

3. Arash Hakhamian, DDS, developed Dentulu, an app that delivers dentists to patients.

4. Mehmet Dikengil, DDS, pleaded guilty to his role in a $2 million health insurance fraud and kickback scheme.
