Patient loses patience during dental appointment, points gun at Florida practice staff

A patient is accused of driving away from a Florida dental practice pointing a gun at the staff inside the waiting room on April 30, according to NBC-2.

The patient was visiting Bonita Dental Care in Bonita Springs, Fla., for a routine visit. A camera caught him removing his dental bib two different times in 10 minutes and pacing around the room.

When staff members re-entered the room, Mr. King was allegedly more impatient.

"I'll give it about eight minutes before I go straight up bipolar," he was heard saying on camera, NBC-2 reports.

After the patient left the practice, the staff locked the front door so he would not re-enter. The patient allegedly sat in the parking lot for several minutes before driving slowly away from the practice and pointing a gun the staff.

Since the incident, Bonita Dental Care is taking steps to train staff how to react to emergency situations.
