A janitor at Rochester, Minn.-based dental practice pleaded guilty to breaking into the practice and illegally using nitrous oxide, according to local news station KIMT.
Patrick Scott Borgen, the building janitor, entered the dentist's office at night to illegally use the nitrous oxide. An employee who stopped by the practice at the time of the incident noticed that the alarm system was off, a door that was normally locked was open and there was a hissing sound of gas being let out of a tank. The employee called the police, and Mr. Borgen was arrested June 29.
Investigators told KIMT that the nitrous oxide tanks had been inexplicably empty the previous two months.
Mr. Borgen pleaded guilty to fourth degree burglary. Sentenced to two years of supervised probation, he also must pay restitution and do 70 hours of community service.
