Formlabs creates dental division

Formlabs is launching a new 3D-printer to make crowns and bridges, clear retainers, surgical guides for dental implant procedures, custom mouthguards and dentures, TechCrunch reports.

The company is launching Formlabs Dental, a whole new sector of materials specifically for dentists. Form 3b, the new printer, is a variation of the Form 3 printer introduced earlier in 2019. The printer comes with software meant to fit into a dental team's existing workflow, along with a year of the company's warranty, which includes training and the ability to request a new printer if repair is needed.

Formlabs said the 3D-printer is made to work with dental resins, but didn't expand on how, according to TechCrunch.
