Texas dental office abruptly closes, leaving patients, care records in limbo

Houston-based Stella Dental Care abruptly shut down near the end of 2019, and some patients are seeking dental records and the completion of care, NBC affiliate KPRC reports.

Months after the unexpected closure, a sign was posted on the practice's front door and said the office was "closed permanently due to financial difficulties."

The company had multiple locations in the area, most of which have also closed. One office is still open, but employees have refused to comment, according to KPRC.

One client, Clevencia Adams, told KPRC that her four children had all received treatment at Stella Dental Care, and one had braces she had already paid for. She also said she does not have access to her children's dental records.

"You should have some type of moral compass to at least let your patients know, 'Hey, we're going to close,'" Ms. Adams told KPRC.
