An Oakland, Calif.-based oral surgeon is facing charges of child pornography and human trafficking, according to documents obtain by the San Francisco Chronicle.
Cassidy Migan Lavorini-Doyle, DDS, faces seven felony charges after being arrested in December 2019. Prosecutors have accused Dr. Lavorini-Doyle of molesting two underage girls along with human trafficking of a minor for a sex act.
Investigators allege that on Dec. 6, 2019, Dr. Lavorini-Doyle attempted to kidnap a girl and falsely imprison her. Dr. Lavorini-Doyle has also been charged with possessing child pornography and using an underaged girl in the filming of pornography.
Dr. Lavorini-Doyle has pleaded not guilty. The investigation is active and ongoing, and there has been no trial date scheduled.
The California Dental Board told the Chronicle Feb. 26 that they are aware of the allegations and conducting their own investigation.
