Georgia dentistry board appoints Sage Dental Management exec

The Georgia Board of Dentistry named Misty Mattingly, Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental Management's vice president of hygiene and operations, to its board, according to a Jan. 26 news release.

Ms. Mattingly will serve a five-year term on the board, the release said. At Sage Dental, she oversees operations and manages more than 100 hygienists across 65 practices. She served as president of the Georgia Dental Hygienists Association and was involved with the development and passing of a bill to improve access to dental care in Georgia.

"It's a tremendous honor to be invited to sit on the Georgia Board of Dentistry and represent the Georgia hygiene community," Ms. Mattingly said in the release. "In order to improve care in our state, hygienists needed a voice that represents the discipline and value that dental hygiene brings to the Georgia community. It is an exciting time for dentistry, and I am delighted to contribute to the board."
Sage Dental is a DSO providing administrative support services and facilities for more than 60 offices in Florida and Georgia.
