American Dental Hygienists' Association names new president-elect

The American Dental Hygienists' Association recently named Dawn Ann Dean its next president-elect.

Ms. Dean has more than 30 years of experience in the dental industry and has been a member of the ADHA for more than 20 years. She attended West Liberty (W.Va.) University's Sarah Whitaker Glass School of Dental Hygiene, where she received her associate degree in dental hygiene in 1984, according to a July 23 news release from the university. She also received her master's degree in dental hygiene research and administration in 1992 from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in Morgantown.

Ms. Dean was previously the president of the Tri-State Dental Hygienists' Association and currently serves on the ADHA Institute for Oral Health board of directors.
