No Surprises Act, the cost of expanding telehealth and more: 5 federal updates for dentists

Five federal updates for dentists to know:

1. A senior administration official said the next generation of COVID-19 shots may only be made available this fall to those at high risk of severe illness if Congress does not approve more emergency funding to buy the shots.

2. HHS requested a hold on its appeal of a Texas federal court ruling that voided part of the arbitration process outlined under the No Surprises Act. 

3. Moderna submitted an emergency use authorization request to the FDA for its two-dose COVID-19 vaccine regimen in children under 6. 

4. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget released a report showing that permanent expansion of telehealth coverage could cost Medicare $25 billion over 10 years.
