1. A first-of-its-kind study from the Regenstrief Institute and Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis provided new details about the longevity of teeth post-root canal.
2. Anibal Diogenes, DDS, PhD, became the first dentist to be named a Piper Professor by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation.
3. New York City-based New York University College of Dentistry students became the first in the U.S. to perform a student-led robot-assisted dental implant surgery.
4. The TeleDentists, a network of dentists offering teledentistry services, launched the first integrated dental-medical platform.
