Delta Dental of New Mexico donated Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico Health Sciences $30,000.
Here are four notes:
1. The donation will go toward providing screenings and treatments to thousands of students at Albuquerque public school dental clinics.
2. Delta Dental's donations will also pay for equipment, supplies and salaries to support the school-based clinic.
3. The UNM Health Sciences Center and Delta Dental of New Mexico have been partners for 15 years.
4. Christine Nathe, director of UNM's dental hygiene program and vice chair of dental health said, "Delta Denta's support shows a history of collaboration between the public and private sectors. When we work together we can do so much for those in need."
