The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation awarded Frederick, Md.-based Mission of Mercy a $75,000 grant to support its mobile dental clinic in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

1. Mission of Mercy is a nonprofit organization that provides free dental and healthcare to low-income individuals and families. It operates mobile dental clinics which travel to Maryland's Baltimore, Caroll and Frederick Counties, and Pennsylvania's Adams and Dauphin Counties up to twice per month.
2. The award is one of 54 given in Pennsylvania this year by the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation.
3. Since its inception in 2011, the foundation has awarded more than $5.8 million in grants to Pennsylvania organizations and nearly $39 million in funding and support to increase access to dental care across Delta Dental's 15-state service area and Washington, D.C.
4. The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Delta Dental, the largest dental plan system in the U.S.
