Dental service organizations continue to expand throughout the U.S., with one affiliating with its 1,000th practice.

1. Carrollton, Texas-based MB2 Dental announced Dec. 10 that it has purchased CORE Dental Partners.
2. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental announced Dec. 10 that it now supports 1,000 practices, making it the first dental service organization to reach this milestone.
3. East Syracuse, N.Y.-based Aspen Dental opened a new practice in Tulsa Hills, Okla., a dental health professional shortage area, on Dec. 12.
4. Irvine, Calif.-based Smile Brands announced Dec. 2 the opening of a new Bright Now Dental office in Tulare, Calif.
5. East Syracuse, N.Y.-based Aspen Dental opened a new practice in Georgetown, Texas on Dec. 5.
6. Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental & Orthodontics is reportedly up for auction, sources close to the matter told PEHub.
7. Irvine, Calif.-based Smile Brands announced Nov. 18 the opening of its first Aspire Dental office.
8. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services announced Nov. 12 the opening of its first supported practice in Illinois.
9. Irvine, Calif.-based Smile Brands announced Nov. 11 the opening of an affiliated Bright Now Dental office in Lodi, Calif.
10. Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental & Orthodontics opened its fifth Santa Ana, Calif., location.
