Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental acquired Irvine, Calif.-based Smile Wide and its 14 related practices, the Orange County Register reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. Western Dental acquired all Smile Wide locations. Western Dental is the largest orthodontics provider in California and Arizona.
2. Smile Wide is Western Dental's first acquisition in a decade.
3. Western Dental CEO Daniel Crowley, said, in a statement, "We are helping to preserve access to dental care for thousands of children who are patients of these Southern California offices."
