Foundation for Endodontics exceeds fundraising goal by raising $1.48 M: 4 things to know

The Foundation for Endodontics announced during its American Association of Endodontists annual meeting that the organization surpassed its $1.4 million fundraising goal by raising a total of $1.48 million.

Here are four takeaways:

1. The money fundraised enables funding for endodontic research, education, public awareness and access to care.

2. Partnering with the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, the Foundation for Endodontics established an Outreach Program to offer meaningful opportunities for endodontists to support and represent the specialty and promote the benefits of saving natural teeth.

3. Through the combined efforts of the Foundation for Endodontics and the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, three endodontists will be sent to the Helping Hands Clinic in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, four times per year to provide treatment and save teeth.

4. President of the Foundation for Endodontics Peter Morgan, DMD, said, "As the specialty of endodontics becomes more mainstream and international, access to care efforts provide new opportunities for the Foundation to apply our resources to benefit endodontics and patients. Funding the Outreach Program will enhance car for patients in need and demonstrate the value of endodontic treatment by endodontists in a way the public can easily understand."
