Henry Schein Cares Medal program awards Community Dental Care gold medal: 4 highlights

Maplewood, Minn.-based Community Dental Care was awarded the gold medal in the oral health category from the Henry Schein Cares Medal program.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Community Dental Care was recognized for its commitment to ensuring equal access to high-quality dental care in a convenient, caring and respectful environment.

2. First incorporated as a nonprofit in 2004, Community Dental provides services to more than 46,000 people every year and is made up for four clinics, with a fifth scheduled to open in August.

3. Silver medal was awarded to Interfaith Dental Clinic of Nashville and bronze medal was awarded to Gaston Family Health Services in Gastonia, N.C.

4. Each medalist receives a cash reward: $15,000 for gold, $10,000 for silver and $5,000 for bronze. In addition, each medalist receives $10,000 worth of Henry Schein products.
