Zaid Sharma, DDS, was recently arrested after a hidden video camera was found in the bathroom of his California dental practice.
The person who found the video camera reported it to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, according to an Aug. 11 news release from the department. An investigation found that several victims were captured using the restroom inside the dental office. A search warrant was executed Aug. 9 at the dental office and Dr. Sharma's residence, during which investigators said they found additional digital media.
Dr. Sharma faces several charges, including possession of child pornography and peeping, the release said.
The department said the Dental Board of California was notified of the incident.
The dental practice could not be reached for comment.
