The two schools formed the Pacific-Stanford PRIMED program through a $3.8 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
All first-year dental students and residents at the University of the Pacific will now be required to complete clinical research training, according to an Oct. 22 news release. Research studies conducted under the program will focus on oral cancer, sleep medicine and developing a Pacific-Stanford biobank.
