5 states with the most, fewest oral surgeons

Wyoming has the fewest oral surgeons out of all U.S. states, according to data from KFF.

The health policy nonprofit recorded the number of active dentists in seven categories, including general dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontics.

New York: 640

Texas: 534

Florida: 444

Pennsylvania: 339

Wyoming: 9

Vermont: 13

South Dakota: 17
