Three notes:
1. The investigation involves Howard Fetner, DMD, who was charged with false and fraudulent insurance claims, schemes to defraud, criminal use of personal identification information and grand theft.
2. Dr. Fetner was also accused of terminating three employees for reporting that their billing codes were being improperly used by their former employer.
3. Melissa Nelson, state attorney for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit, was previously investigating the case. She requested the governor to reassign the case after a letter was sent by a lawyer representing the three employees.
