SB24-010 adopts the interstate compact, making it easier for dentists and dental hygienists to practice across multiple states without needing multiple licenses, according to a May 17 news release from the governor’s office.

In April, a Colorado House committee passed the legislation with a 12-0 vote.

The compact was activated in April after Maine joined as the seventh state. The agreement increases license portability for dental professionals.

The bill was sponsored by Colorado Sens. Joann Ginal, PhD, and Perry Will, and Reps. Monica Duran and Anthony Hartsook, the release said.
