7 Pennsylvania dental updates in 50 days

Here are seven updates on the dental industry that Becker’s has reported on since June 5:

1. Camp Hill, Pa.-based Progressive Dental Concepts named new lead dentists at three of its practices.

2. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro signed nine bills into law July 15, including one to prohibit dental insurers from forcing dentists to accept credit card payments.

3. An employee was accused of stealing nearly $35,000 from a dental office in Gettysburg, Pa.

4. Mansfield, Pa.-based Laurel Health Centers is set to take over a dental practice in Towanda, Pa., following the retirement of David Redding, DDS.

5. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired a practice in Pennsylvania.

6. The Pennsylvania Employee Benefit Trust Fund is expanding dental network coverage and introducing additional benefits for its members.

7. Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care opened an Affordable Dentures & Implants office in Greensburg, Pa.
