10 states with the worst dental care habits

Arkansas is ranked as the state where residents have the worst dental care habits, according to a new study by San Antonio-based Celebrate Dental and Braces.

Celebrate Dental and Braces, which has more than 20 offices in Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Missouri and Kansas, analyzed data from the CDC and the American Lung Association to create the ranking. The data includes the percentage of adults who visited a dentist in the past year, smoking rates and the prevalence of binge drinking, according to an Oct. 4 news release shared with Becker’s.  

Here are the top 10 states with the worst dental care habits: 

1. Arkansas

2. West Virginia

3. Mississippi

4. Louisiana

5. Tennessee

6. Kentucky

7. Missouri

8. Alabama

9. Oklahoma

10. Montana
