Nebraska Board of Dentistry adjusts dental licensing standards: 4 notes

The Nebraska Board of Dentistry recently approved changes to its licensing standards, norfolkneradio.com reported Oct. 17.

Four notes:

1. Gov. Jim Pillen asked the board to begin accepting the American Board of Dental Examiners exam, which would allow dental professionals from other states to become licensed in Nebraska.

2. The state dental board voted unanimously to accept the exam during an Oct. 4 meeting.

3. Gov. Pillen said the change will expand access to dental care for residents in the state.

4. The change will go into effect July 1.
