Dr. Theresa Gonzales receives ADA Distinguished Service Award

Theresa Gonzales, DMD, was named the recipient of the American Dental Association’s 2024 Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Gonzales has been an educator for nearly 35 years, currently teaching at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She also helped develop the university’s chronic orofacial pain management service after retiring from the U.S. military in 2013. 

The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor given by the ADA Board of Trustees, according to an Oct. 17 news release.
