North Carolina college gets $500K grant to launch dental assistant program

Weldon, N.C.-based Halifax Community College has received a $500,000 grant for the creation of a dental assistant program.

The short-term program will train and prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce, according to a Dec. 9 news release. 

The grant was awarded by the North Carolina Community College System.
