Tennessee anti-fluoride bill dies in committee: 3 notes

A bill aimed at banning water fluoridation in Tennessee was shut down in the Senate Energy, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Committee, WKRN reported March 19.

Three notes: 

1. Senate Bill 162 was introduced by state Sen. Joey Hensley Jan. 16.

2. The bill died in committee March 19.

3. The state is still considering a second bill that would reduce the amount of fluoride in the state’s public water supply to 0.4 milligrams per liter and require regular testing of water.
