Here are three points:

1. Dr. Liu is accused of hiring untrained and unlicensed personnel to perform fillings in children’s teeth and administer nitrous oxide to children.

2. Her license suspension follows previous charges of six counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of healthcare fraud. Between March and September, Dr. Liu allowed her untrained staff to administer nitrous oxide to three patients.

3. After the initial charges, Dr. Liu was instructed to remove the untrained staff. However, in November state records found the dentist had allowed an unlicensed staff member to administer the gas to an underage patient.
