National Dental Association elects Dr. Joe O’Neal president: 3 insights

The National Dental Association elected Joe O’Neal, DDS, president, according to WREG Memphis.

1. Dr. O’Neal is the first dentist from West Tennessee to be elected president of the National Dental Association.

2. For the past 41 years, Dr. O’Neal led a private practice in Memphis, Tenn. He also served in the Army Reserve’s Medical Unit for 28 years, retiring as a Colonel.

3. Dr. O’Neal is the 94th National Dental Association President. The dental group held its Inauguration and Scholarship Gala, Dec. 9, in Memphis, Tenn., to honor Dr. O’Neal.
