A dental clinic in Bloomfield, Wis., was unexpectedly closed, but the building was left open, according to an April 1 report from FOX6 Milwaukee

The closing of an EON Clinics location, a dental implant provider, left one patient who paid in advance for a tooth extraction and implant stranded.

The office was left completely unlocked, causing concern about patient medical records and billing information being potentially exposed.

When the news outlet went into the building, the clinic’s phone had 115 missed calls and 30 voicemails, according to the report.

EON Clinics also has practice locations in Illinois and Indiana, according to its website.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
