California has 14,760 general dentists, the most out of any state, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics

The agency released updated employment information for dentists to reflect 2024 information on April 2. 

In total, there are 113,490 general dentists in the U.S., 8,150 fewer compared to 2023.
