The Washington Dental Quality Assurance Commission indefinitely suspended the credential to practice in the state of Joseph Zimmer, DDS.
In 2024, a site inspection at Dr. Zimmer’s dental practice uncovered multiple infection control violations, according to a May 16 news release from the Washington State Department of Health.
Violations included expired or invalid autoclave tests, lack of waterline testing and missing cough etiquette signage.
Dr. Zimmer had his license indefinitely suspended in June 2024 for failing to appear at a pre-hearing conference on charges he employed two dental assistants with expired licenses at his clinic.
