About 31% of dentists are considering dropping out of insurance networks this year, according to a recent survey from the American Dental Association’s Health Policy Institute.
The ADA surveyed 666 dentists on the changes they have made or are planning to make this year for its “Economic Outlook and Emerging Issues in Dentistry” report for the second quarter of 2025.
According to the report, 23.8% of dentists have already dropped insurance networks so far this year, while 31.8% said they may do so later this year. About 44% of dentists are not planning to drop insurance networks this year.
