Texas dental practice suffers data breach affecting 13,000

Grand Prairie, Texas-based Pecan Tree Dental recently experienced a data breach affecting 13,300 individuals.

The practice said it launched an investigation after becoming aware of a cybersecurity issue affecting its computer systems. There is currently no evidence that any patient information has been accessed or misused, according to a notice on the practice’s website.

The practice submitted the incident to the HHS Department’s Office for Civil Rights
