The Vermont Dental Society and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry have partnered to open the largest dental clinic and training site in Vermont, WCAX reported April 3.
Three notes:
1. The clinic, which will be located in Colchester, Vt., aims to address the state’s dental workforce shortages.
2. Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Peter Welch, D-Vt., secured $4.6 million in federal funding to support the clinic’s construction.
3. The clinic will feature 49 chairs and will train 64 students each year.
