The 10 states with the largest leaps in dental hygienist pay

Nevada saw the largest year-over-year increase in the average annual salary for dental hygienists from 2024 to 2025, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Across the U.S., the average annual salary for dental hygienists increased $5,100, climbing from $93,890 in 2024 to $98,990 in 2025.

There were only three states where dental hygienist’s pay decreased: Delaware, Hawaii and Washington, D.C.

The agency updated compensation data May 15 to reflect 2025 information, the latest available.
