DentaQuest, an administrator of dental benefits, is actively managing a cybersecurity incident.
A limited portion of the company’s network was accessed by an unauthorized party. DentaQuest’s systems remain fully operational, according to a June 1 notice from DentaQuest.
DentaQuest is currently working to determine the scope of the incident and the extent of any data that may have been compromised.
According to a June 4 report from SC Media, the breach exposed the data of more than 2.6 million DentaQuest accounts.
DentaQuest, one of the largest dental benefits providers by membership, serves more than 30 million individuals in the U.S., according to its website.
